Dr. David Lai is an exceptional dentist. He’s incredibly attentive, takes the time to calm your nerves, and makes you feel genuinely cared for before any procedure. His calm, reassuring presence makes a big difference—you immediately know you’re in good hands. I wouldn’t feel comfortable going to anyone else. I trust Dr. Lai and his staff completely.

I started going to Dr. Wu about seven years ago when I moved to San Jose and I've never looked back. The entire staff is so friendly and attentive, and the care that this office shows to their patients is unparalleled. Best dentist I've ever had.nnA couple years ago, I had a crooked front tooth with super short roots that multiple other dentists weren't comfortable treating. Even though this office also provides orthodontia services, Dr. Wu referred me to an orthodontist she knew who could handle my case better and I was finally able to straighten it out without losing the tooth. Really demonstrated to me that she cared more about patient outcome than charging me for the treatment.nnEven though they are no longer in network with my dental insurance, I'd still rather pay out of network for the quality of care that Compass Dental Arts provides.

Get ready for a refreshingly positive new experience on going to the dentist. Dr. Lai, Dr. Wu and their staff are welcoming, kind, caring, knowledgeable, and thorough. You will be welcomed with a happy greeting. Dr. Lai and Dr. Wu take the time to get to know you and make sure you are comfortable before starting any procedure. You have options to continue watching your show on Netflix or Disney + or trying a new show recommended by them. They both explain very clearly what healthy teeth and gums look like as well as the procedure that will be preformed at your appointment. They give tips on how to get your teeth to the best they can be. I highly recommend Compass Dental Arts.
