I have historically gotten my dental cleanings done in downtown Chicago or in the north suburbs of Illinois. However, I am very happy with Aspen Dental in Merrillville, IN. Specifically, the hygienist, Rachel, is awesome. I requested her after my very first appointment, and I was happy to see that I was accommodated. Rachel is very competent, knowledgeable, and kind. Most importantly, she is very encouraging, rather than judgmental. Rachel provides didactic inspiration to keep improving flossing habits etc., rather than being rude/disciplinarian and unapproachable (which I have experienced from other professionals). Also, Dr. Schafer, the dentist who gave me my examination, was also very efficient, friendly, and positive as well. I recommend this location and this provider.

I enjoyed my entire experience during my first and second visit to Aspen Dental. Starting with my initial encounter at front desk. While I didn't get the youngman's name, he gave the first positive encounter. He was friendly, articulate and unlike me, he had a knack for remembering names. I returned to the office for a second time, the same day as my first visit to complete paperwork. Even though it was hours later, he addressed me by name when I stepped to counter. I was impressed. My next encounter was with the younglady who would take images of my teeth. Sorry again about the name, but she was a sweetheart. She explained all the impressions she would be taking. She frequently asked if I was okay because some were a little awkward and uncomfortable. She was quick, not as in rushing me, but taking the impressions, to keep me from becoming uncomfortable. She was efficient and caring. Next, I had a conversation with the Dentist. She discussed the images and a dental plan to address and resolve issues with my teeth. The Office Manager Miriam discussed the cost associated with the recommended treatment plan and went over payment options with me. She too was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She was very accommodating in answering my questions and concerns. When I returned to the office to complete paperwork, I sat down with Jioria, the Asst Office Manager. She had the brightest personality. She was friendly, knowledgeable and upbeat. When I returned the second day to begin treatment. I met the dental hygienist, Ms Jinul. If patience was a virtue, this lady would be perfect. She was so calm, reassuring, patient and thoughtful. I had a deep cleaning and she frequently asked about my comfort, if I flinched, she would immediately stop and ask if I was okay. She worked efficiently, skillfully and addressed all my concerns. She thoroughly explained what she had done, and her next course of action. She described in detail, what I should be doing at home and made other recommendations for ways to keep my teeth healthy. When I left the office, I thought to myself, I've finally found a dental clinic I can make my permanent place for all my dental care. The entire staff that I met were all awesome. I can easily and happily recommend the Aspen Dental in Merrillville as a great choice for your dental need.

I had an AMAZING experience at Aspen Dental! From the front desk staff to the sweet young lady who took my xrays, to the hygienist, doctor, and office manager. Everyone was extremely friendly, professional and I was out in a timely manner. They addressed all of my concerns and even gave me some great suggestions for my current issues. They even used new technology when doing my xrays which was surprising to me. I will definitely be back for service. I highly recommend. 10/10 for sure! Thank you Aspen Dental!!!

Extremely satisfied.nnI don't like dentists, my relationship with medical professionals is fraught, and I've had a lot of issues not feeling heard in my medical care in general.nnAs a woman, I'm overjoyed that I've been cared for by a primarily female staff. I receive a level of care, concern, and compassion that frankly, I'm not always used to in a medical setting. I have a hard time always feeling heard or even like I'm a person. My mouth is also a source of embarrassment. These facts keep me out of the doctor's office unless I can help it.nnWhen I find professionals that challenge me on this, it nearly brings me to tears. I'm so happy with my care, I'm so thrilled with the precision and professionalism. I'm so happy with your staff at the Merrillville location. My teeth feel so much better, I feel like a person, and I wasn't made to feel bad about the condition of my mouth. I wasn't upsold on anything, which I was really worried about.nnThank you!

I Had The Best Experience. Staff Was Very Friendly, Non Judgmental & Extremely Informative. I Was Originally Nervous But Towards The End Was Very Confident With My Next Steps. There Was Multiple Affordable Payment Options To Choose From Which Made My Experience Even Better. Thank You Aspen!!!
