Normally when I walk into the dentist, I’m shaking, knees are weak and I’m just a wreck. As soon as I walked through the door I was immediately calmed by the music overhead and the very welcoming and warm receptionist. When the Dentist told me I needed an extraction, I wasn’t nervous at all because I had already gotten so comfortable with the environment that I just knew she was going to do an amazing job and she did!! Love this place and highly recommend!

This place continues to prove they are the best in Pinellas county. Always friendly and concerned about how you’re feeling thru the procedure. They explain each step as the work processes and how much longer it would take. Great group of people.

This was my first visit with this location, although going to the dentist is not my favorite thing to do, I will say that Dr Shepard and Tonya created a comfortable atmosphere and I felt confident with the care I was receiving. The front office staff were great as well. So happy I found a dentist I am comfortable with.
Cynthia Batte, Jul 2026
Dr. Shepherd is excellent. I also felt very comfortable with the dental hygienist. She was pleasant and spent the most time w me. The receptionist was nice. They have the best equipment and the office is clean. They were kind enough to get me in the same day recently when I had a problem with a tooth.

Why You Shouldn’t Wait to Schedule an Emergency Dentist Visit

Delaying dental care can turn a small issue into a serious one. Pain is your body’s way of signaling that something is wrong, and ignoring it often leads to bigger problems, such as infection or tooth loss. Promptly treating an emergency not only protects your health but also helps you avoid more complex and costly procedures in the future.

How Dental Emergencies Happen in Clearwater Beach

Life in Clearwater Beach centers on the sun and sand, whether you are taking a sunset stroll along the winding Beach Walk, watching the daily festivities at Pier 60, or exploring the quiet beauty of Sand Key Park. This active coastal lifestyle is what makes our community unique, but it can also lead to the unexpected. A slip on a wet surface or a sports injury during a game of beach volleyball can quickly result in a broken tooth or intense tooth pain. When these moments occur, having access to immediate care right here in the beach community is vital. Choosing local care means you can get the help you need without the added stress of traveling to another city while you are in pain.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is considered a dental emergency?

Severe toothaches, knocked-out teeth, broken or chipped teeth, lost crowns or fillings, abscesses, or swelling that affects your ability to eat, speak, or breathe.

What should I do if my tooth is knocked out?

Handle it by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it, and keep it moist in milk or saliva. Bring it to your appointment immediately.

How can I relieve a severe toothache until my appointment?

Take an over-the-counter pain reliever and apply a cold compress. Avoid placing aspirin directly on your gums.

Do you accept my dental insurance plan?

Most insurance plans are accepted. Call ahead to confirm coverage and benefits.

What are your hours for emergency appointments?

We offer same-day and extended hours for urgent needs. Contact us to be connected to the right dentist, then contact their office to check availability.

What if my dental emergency happens after hours?

Many emergency dentists offer 24/7 availability or extended hours. If your emergency occurs late at night, check whether an emergency dentist is open nearby, or go to the ER if you have severe pain, swelling, or trauma.

Can you treat a cracked or chipped tooth?

Yes, our dentists can restore or repair damaged teeth to prevent further complications.

Will I need a follow-up appointment?

Some emergencies require additional visits for permanent treatment, such as crowns or root canals.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes, our dentists prioritize same-day scheduling whenever possible.

How do I get the fastest care?

For the fastest care, call us first, and we’ll connect you with the right dentist in Clearwater Beach.

What happens if I lose a crown or filling?

Bring the crown or filling with you if possible. We’ll repair or replace it to restore your bite and comfort.
