I had an EXCEPTIONAL experience at Family Dental! They are Super Professional with a very courteous and friendly staff! Their equipment is topnotch and up-to-date. Dr. Wilson is thorough and efficient! They go the extra mile and actually screen you for infections and cancer around the neck, face and mouth. Prior to finding this practice, I have had years of horror stories from Valparaiso Family Dentistry, including about 10 appointments in for treatment from what began as a simple cracked tooth and didn't even require a root canal, that I am still not done with. I have been meaning to switch dentists for years, but life gets busy and I see the notification that my next cleaning is coming up and say ok I'll get this one done and then look for a new one. I waited way too long, but after researching local dentists and reviews, I recently made the switch to Family Dental Care. I had to pay for new images OOP because insurance only does certain ones every 5yrs and the ones at VFD were a few years old. I was willing to do whatever to switch. I got so lucky with someone canceling an appointment for the next morning and got right in. Their cleaning, calmness, gentleness, thorough explanations, care of how you're feeling and walking you through everything, techniques, patience, knowledge, skills, timeliness, and efficiency are all HUGE positive differences from what I have been experiencing at VFD for the past 5yrs prior. Dr. Wilson caught 5 cavities that my prior location knew nothing about. I do realize it isn't uncommon to get different responses for what is deemed necessary for treatment, between dentists. Another thing I like about Dr. Wilson is all the photos he takes before and during treatment so you can actually see everything going on in the tooth. I got the cavities filled right away and I could see the images from each one, explaining the cavities while I saw them on the big screen in front of me. It has also been a very positive experience working with Dr. Wilson's hygienist, Tiffany. She knows what she is doing, is very kind, and the two work well together, making for a more pleasant experience. Treatment and even general cleanings have been torture at my prior dentist. I can't speak for all services, but what I have had done at Family Dental Care so far has been a breeze to get through compared to others. I hope that continues!

First appt few days ago for multiple dental issues. Exam and treatment plan. Extremely impressed with professionalism, competency, friendliness, all staff. No insurance. Great dental savings plan, and also accepts Care Credit. Age 76, many health problems, this is the best Dental Office I’ve ever been to, in my lifetime! So Grateful.
