Dr. G is a proud Jamaican native who graduated from the University of Mary in North Dakota.
She always knew she wanted to be a dentist and furthered her learning at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, School of Dental Medicine and then went onto a General Practice Residency at the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. She worked in Public Health for 5 years in Grand Forks, ND before moving first to California, then relocating to Traverse City.
During her days at the University of Mary, Dr. G pursued a career in track and field where she met her husband Troy, a fellow collegiate athlete. They have now been married for 8 years, taking turns chasing after their three enjoyably rambunctious toddlers and newborn baby #4!
