New insurance, new dentist, and a new standard of care.nnCompleted a new patient intake with Gentle Dental in Lacey, WA which included the usual x-rays and routine cleaning. That said, this was a remarkably sophisticated and detailed process which went beyond my expectations. I was genuinely impressed.nnDr. Joi was assisted by Jesse and they conducted a state-of-the-art 3-D mapping of teeth, gums, and underlying bone to capture the digital profile, supported by textbook manual checks. Very professional.nnDental stuff is never fun and the process was unhurried (two hours) yet with the exception of a modest charge for an additional procedure… it was all covered under insurance. That made me smile.nnI challenge anyone to find a better dental care, anywhere at any price. This is executive level healthcare at it’s finest.nnThank you, Doctor Joi.

I visited Gentle Dental as a new patient last week. I have extreme dental anxiety and had just left in office that had some pretty big turnover issues as well as cleanliness issues. I was very hesitant about going to a new dentist, but a friend highly recommended Gentle Dental. From the moment I walked in the door. I felt a sense of relief. It was such a calm and quiet atmosphere with a very friendly front desk receptionist. She was very helpful in looking up my insurance information and assured me she could get me in as soon as possible because I have a major issue with one of my molars. When I came back for my actual appointment, I was greeted by her again, and she seemed even friendlier this time which did not seem possible. When I got back in my room, the assistant Jesse instantly put me at ease. He made it clear that there was no judgment at this office and that they were here to make me comfortable. He even offered me a blanket because the room was a little chilly. I had not even mentioned it. He just knew it was so. I gladly accepted the blanket. He was very friendly and asked great open-ended questions to get to know me and my dental needs. My bad tooth had caused a tooth ache and he even offered me some ibuprofen. I couldn’t believe it. He was really funny, which put me at ease. Next, came the dentist, Dr. Joy. She was great. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a detailed dental exam. She spent a lot of time on each individual tooth and helped me come up with a dental plan. One thing I really liked is the dental plan was very realistic and I didn’t feel like they were just trying to get money like I did it the last place. She offered solutions rather than whatever was going to cost more. I feel confident with the dental plan that I have and could not recommend this office more. I very rarely do reviews. It’s not that I won’t don’t want to, I’m just very busy. But it was important to take the time to do a review on Gentle Dental. I hope I can have Jesse for all of my appointments, but I am sure the rest of the team is just as wonderful. Jesse told me he is working towards being a dental hygienist, which will happen in about two years. I told him I want to be his first patient! Seriously, if you are on the fence… Just do it. They made me feel so much better. And this is coming from a patient who has to take premeds to even go to a dentist. I did not do so on this appointment and I know I will not have to in the future appointment

Super awesome experience! The staff was so friendly from the very moment I entered, couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming experience. Jessie and Gomathi were super informative and kind! Definitely recommend!
