Another clean bill of health at Countryside Dental!nnThe office is clean, it has a nice parking lot that's easy to get in and out of, and the staff are very helpful when checking in or answering questions. I've gone twice so far and this has been the only one that gets in there and makes my teeth clean and shiny without leaving my gums bloody or sore.nnCheck-ins and uploading information can be done online which is a huge help for busy people who don't normally have time to make phone calls to check availability. All in all I've had a great experience and I'll see everyone again at November!

Why You Shouldn’t Wait to Schedule an Emergency Dentist Visit

Delaying dental care can turn a small issue into a serious one. Pain is your body’s way of signaling that something is wrong, and ignoring it often leads to bigger problems, such as infection or tooth loss. Promptly treating an emergency not only protects your health but also helps you avoid more complex and costly procedures in the future.

How Dental Emergencies Happen in Skokie

Life in Skokie is defined by its vibrant community and active lifestyle, whether you are exploring the unique exhibits at the Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park, taking a peaceful walk through the Emily Oaks Nature Center, or enjoying a family afternoon at the Skokie Water Playground. The busy pace of life in our village can sometimes lead to the unexpected. A sudden slip while jogging on a local trail, a sports accident during a game at Central Park, or an accidental fall can instantly result in a broken tooth or severe tooth pain. When a crisis like this strikes, you need immediate, reliable care right here. The last thing you should face is the stress of traveling to another city when you need local help most.

How We Can Help Skokie Residents Find Emergency Dental Care

Our compassionate service provides prompt, quality care right here in your local community, ensuring you get relief quickly so you can return to your life without unnecessary travel.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is considered a dental emergency?

Severe toothaches, knocked-out teeth, broken or chipped teeth, lost crowns or fillings, abscesses, or swelling that affects your ability to eat, speak, or breathe.

What should I do if my tooth is knocked out?

Handle it by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it, and keep it moist in milk or saliva. Bring it to your appointment immediately.

How can I relieve a severe toothache until my appointment?

Take an over-the-counter pain reliever and apply a cold compress. Avoid placing aspirin directly on your gums.

Do you accept my dental insurance plan?

Most insurance plans are accepted. Call ahead to confirm coverage and benefits.

What are your hours for emergency appointments?

We offer same-day and extended hours for urgent needs. Contact us to be connected to the right dentist, then contact their office to check availability.

What if my dental emergency happens after hours?

Many emergency dentists offer 24/7 availability or extended hours. If your emergency occurs late at night, check whether an emergency dentist is open nearby, or go to the ER if you have severe pain, swelling, or trauma.

Can you treat a cracked or chipped tooth?

Yes, our dentists can restore or repair damaged teeth to prevent further complications.

Will I need a follow-up appointment?

Some emergencies require additional visits for permanent treatment, such as crowns or root canals.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes, our dentists prioritize same-day scheduling whenever possible.

How do I get the fastest care?

For the fastest care, call us first, and we’ll connect you with the right dentist in Skokie.

What happens if I lose a crown or filling?

Bring the crown or filling with you if possible. We’ll repair or replace it to restore your bite and comfort.
