I've been going to Gentle Dental Rio Vista in Peoria for about 2 yrs or more. Dr. Han & dental hygienist Celina have helped me soooo much! They are very professional & communicative, telling me everything I need & what to expect in the appointments. I started out seeing her about every 4 mos for cleanings. She is very detailed & is very careful to clean your teeth thoroughly. They do laser therapy & irrigation to help heal your gums & make them healthier, getting rid of bacteria. They diagnosed me with periodontal disease & when Celina measured my gums, they were 4s & 5s! She recommended a Perio tray, where they take impressions of your teeth & use Perio Gel that heals the pockets in your gums. It also refreshes your breath & makes your teeth whiter. I had NEVER heard of all 3 of these treatments! My numbers are mostly 3 and below now & I only need cleanings every 6 mos now! I also had a tooth infection that affected the tooth next to it & Dr. Han gave me several options as he had to pull those 2 teeth. I even visited him one other time just to help me make the decision. I chose implant. Thanks to Gentle Dental Rio Vista & their amazing staff, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else! I highly recommend them!

Dr. Garber and the staff at Gentle Dental Rio Vista were amazing! Everyone was so warm and friendly! I was there for a root canal so I was a little nervous about the procedure.nEvery detail was handled professionally and I was impressed with the fact that I felt no pain during the numbing process. Other dental offices need to take some tips from Dr. Garber!nI would have given 5 stars if they had given me written aftercare instructions. There was simply too much information to remember that was verbally relayed to me from the dental tech and I forgot half of it before leaving the office. Overall, I had a really good experience here and I’m healing well.nBernice V.

Why You Shouldn’t Wait to Schedule an Emergency Dentist Visit

Delaying dental care can turn a small issue into a serious one. Pain is your body’s way of signaling that something is wrong, and ignoring it often leads to bigger problems, such as infection or tooth loss. Promptly treating an emergency not only protects your health but also helps you avoid more complex and costly procedures in the future.

How Dental Emergencies Happen in Anthem

Life in Anthem is all about enjoying the beautiful desert landscape and staying active within our close-knit community. Whether you are spending a Saturday morning riding the Daisy Mountain Railroad with your kids at Anthem Community Park, hiking the challenging trails of the Daisy Mountain Preserve, or paying your respects at the Anthem Veterans Memorial, the desert lifestyle keeps us on the move. However, even in such a well-planned community, accidents can happen. A sudden fall on a rocky trail, a sports mishap on a local field, or an unexpected impact can result in a broken tooth or severe, throbbing tooth pain. When a crisis like this strikes, you need immediate care right here. Choosing local care means you get the relief you need without the added stress of traveling down the I-17 to another city in the middle of a dental emergency.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is considered a dental emergency?

Severe toothaches, knocked-out teeth, broken or chipped teeth, lost crowns or fillings, abscesses, or swelling that affects your ability to eat, speak, or breathe.

What should I do if my tooth is knocked out?

Handle it by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it, and keep it moist in milk or saliva. Bring it to your appointment immediately.

How can I relieve a severe toothache until my appointment?

Take an over-the-counter pain reliever and apply a cold compress. Avoid placing aspirin directly on your gums.

Do you accept my dental insurance plan?

Most insurance plans are accepted. Call ahead to confirm coverage and benefits.

What are your hours for emergency appointments?

We offer same-day and extended hours for urgent needs. Contact us to be connected to the right dentist, then contact their office to check availability.

What if my dental emergency happens after hours?

Many emergency dentists offer 24/7 availability or extended hours. If your emergency occurs late at night, check whether an emergency dentist is open nearby, or go to the ER if you have severe pain, swelling, or trauma.

Can you treat a cracked or chipped tooth?

Yes, our dentists can restore or repair damaged teeth to prevent further complications.

Will I need a follow-up appointment?

Some emergencies require additional visits for permanent treatment, such as crowns or root canals.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes, our dentists prioritize same-day scheduling whenever possible.

How do I get the fastest care?

For the fastest care, call us first, and we’ll connect you with the right dentist in Anthem.

What happens if I lose a crown or filling?

Bring the crown or filling with you if possible. We’ll repair or replace it to restore your bite and comfort.
