Every experience since I have had my first cleaning with Landon has been wonderful. I had been out of the dental world for a while and very scared to dive back in. Family Dental Care has made it easy and though I still hate going to the dentist (lol) I’m excited for my cleaning with Landon in August! Thank you all!

They are really nice and are very up front with you about any kind of care that you need. They aren't trying to sell you things you don't need and recommending procedures that aren't necessary like a certain chain office that really pushes everybody to get lots of things done. They refered me to a great oral surgeon who did an amazing job and I healed up rather quickly even tho I had a lot of work done. I believe they are a private owned business and it really shows. They also have top of the line equipment and the newest technology. There are flat screens in all the rooms playing calming videos and good music in the background. Keep up the great work guys.

Everyone is very kind and attentive! They don't try to sell you products or services that you don't want or need. So far, my services have been reasonably priced and they are flexible and accommodating with payment plans and payment options. So happy I switched to them!

Why You Shouldn’t Wait to Schedule an Emergency Dentist Visit

Delaying dental care can turn a small issue into a serious one. Pain is your body’s way of signaling that something is wrong, and ignoring it often leads to bigger problems, such as infection or tooth loss. Promptly treating an emergency not only protects your health but also helps you avoid more complex and costly procedures in the future.

What is considered a dental emergency?

Severe toothaches, knocked-out teeth, broken or chipped teeth, lost crowns or fillings, abscesses, or swelling that affects your ability to eat, speak, or breathe.

What should I do if my tooth is knocked out?

Handle it by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it, and keep it moist in milk or saliva. Bring it to your appointment immediately.

How can I relieve a severe toothache until my appointment?

Take an over-the-counter pain reliever and apply a cold compress. Avoid placing aspirin directly on your gums.

Do you accept my dental insurance plan?

Most insurance plans are accepted. Call ahead to confirm coverage and benefits.

What are your hours for emergency appointments?

We offer same-day and extended hours for urgent needs. Contact us to be connected to the right dentist, then contact their office to check availability.

What if my dental emergency happens after hours?

Many emergency dentists offer 24/7 availability or extended hours. If your emergency occurs late at night, check whether an emergency dentist is open nearby, or go to the ER if you have severe pain, swelling, or trauma.

Can you treat a cracked or chipped tooth?

Yes, our dentists can restore or repair damaged teeth to prevent further complications.

Will I need a follow-up appointment?

Some emergencies require additional visits for permanent treatment, such as crowns or root canals.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes, our dentists prioritize same-day scheduling whenever possible.

How do I get the fastest care?

For the fastest care, call us first, and we’ll connect you with the right dentist in Elgin.
