I was happy to find the office open and receiving emergency patients on a Saturday. Staff were welcoming and accommodating. The doctor was poised, confident and professional.nnThe wait time was negligible, especially considering I was offered an appointment with virtually no notice at all. The Office was clean and pleasant. Doctor Gabriel Shvets's self-assured demeanor immediately quelled my own skepticism and instilled confidence in me that he could perform my root extraction and placement of preliminary implant bone-grafting material with proficiency - which he did.nnWhile the loss of a tooth and the need for this type of treatment is, by definition, traumatic, I was impressed with Dr. Shvets's expertise and would consider this practice for ongoing dental care.

(Implant) came home & did my research on Doc, verrrry impressive I must say! Look him up. Anyway , had an awesome experience, he's my new dentist now 🦷 obviously. 😬🦷🪥

Why You Shouldn’t Wait to Schedule an Emergency Dentist Visit

Delaying dental care can turn a small issue into a serious one. Pain is your body’s way of signaling that something is wrong, and ignoring it often leads to bigger problems, such as infection or tooth loss. Promptly treating an emergency not only protects your health but also helps you avoid more complex and costly procedures in the future.

How Dental Emergencies Happen in Plantation

Life in Plantation centers on enjoying our beautiful, green city, whether you are spending an afternoon with the family at Plantation Woods Park, enjoying a peaceful walk on the trails at Plantation Heritage Park, or challenging yourself at the Plantation Preserve Golf Course & Club. But an active, outdoor life can sometimes lead to an unexpected mishap. A fall during a game of disc golf, a sports accident at the Frank Veltri Tennis Center, or an unforeseen impact can result in a sudden broken tooth or excruciating tooth pain. When a dental crisis strikes, the last thing you should have to do is endure a long drive to an unfamiliar city. Our local practice is here to provide the immediate, reliable care you need right in your own community.

What is considered a dental emergency?

Severe toothaches, knocked-out teeth, broken or chipped teeth, lost crowns or fillings, abscesses, or swelling that affects your ability to eat, speak, or breathe.

What should I do if my tooth is knocked out?

Handle it by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it, and keep it moist in milk or saliva. Bring it to your appointment immediately.

How can I relieve a severe toothache until my appointment?

Take an over-the-counter pain reliever and apply a cold compress. Avoid placing aspirin directly on your gums.

Do you accept my dental insurance plan?

Most insurance plans are accepted. Call ahead to confirm coverage and benefits.

What are your hours for emergency appointments?

We offer same-day and extended hours for urgent needs. Contact us to be connected to the right dentist, then contact their office to check availability.

What if my dental emergency happens after hours?

Many emergency dentists offer 24/7 availability or extended hours. If your emergency occurs late at night, check whether an emergency dentist is open nearby, or go to the ER if you have severe pain, swelling, or trauma.

Can you treat a cracked or chipped tooth?

Yes, our dentists can restore or repair damaged teeth to prevent further complications.

Will I need a follow-up appointment?

Some emergencies require additional visits for permanent treatment, such as crowns or root canals.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes, our dentists prioritize same-day scheduling whenever possible.

How do I get the fastest care?

For the fastest care, call us first, and we’ll connect you with the right dentist in Plantation.
