I have never been to such a great dental office. I haven't been seen in over 9 years after having children and I was expecting the worst. Not only did Dr. Lee help walk me through every detail, he also was incredibly kind and meticulous and incredibly patient and gentle. I have mild anxiety when it comes to the dentist and he just did such a great job. He also did such a great job in my cleaning, my teeth haven't felt this clean or white in so long. Thank you, Dr. Lee! They are very flexible if you have children too. Dr. Lee is proudly my and my family's new dentist for life.nnOne thing I want to add is that I don't feel like Dr. Lee pushes or tries to sell anything unnecessary. I'm typically really critical and weary of dentists but he really empathizes with people and will work with you to get the treatment you need. Truly a one of a kind dentist.

I am so grateful for their service. I was in excruciating pain for 3 days right before Christmas Eve I called every dental surgeon near the area and even though of driving to Mexico to find someone to do an emergency extraction of my wisdom tooth I am 33 weeks pregnant and the pain was so unbearable I had not slept or ate and was putting my baby in distress. On Christmas Day I began calling all the near by dentals offices again hoping to have an answer and God blessed me with Dr .Lee . He scheduled me an emergency appointment and when I arrived I was there for about 30 minutes the procedure took about 10 min at most. NO PAIN. I felt safe and understood . Went home and received a follow up call the very next morning to check on how I was doing. I can not express my gratitude and how much it meant for me for him to be the only doctor in LA and so rounding counties to take me in on Xmas day and help me be pain free. service was absolutely amazing and quick ! I know where to go when I need any dental procedure done. Thank you so much for your practice and kindness!

I had a great experience at Joshua Dental – Advanced Dentistry & Emergency Dentist. The office is professional, clean, and welcoming, but what really stood out was the new hygienist, Komei. Komei is amazing—thorough, gentle, and incredibly attentive throughout the cleaning. They made the entire experience comfortable and took the time to explain everything clearly. It’s rare to find someone who combines skill and kindness so well. Highly recommend Joshua Dental, especially if you get to see Komei!

Dr. Lee and his staff are amazing. I brought my mom a few weeks ago for horrible toothache. Mind you they saw her the same day I called. His assistant Maria was beyond helpful and was so empathetic to my mom. Dr. Lee was very informative and he did an amazing job.Today, my daughter is here for her wisdom teeth exam and removal. Sue, Irma and Maria were amazing and sweet. All went well, as I anticipated. I will refer my friends and family. Thank you team.

Why You Shouldn’t Wait to Schedule an Emergency Dentist Visit

Delaying dental care can turn a small issue into a serious one. Pain is your body’s way of signaling that something is wrong, and ignoring it often leads to bigger problems, such as infection or tooth loss. Promptly treating an emergency not only protects your health but also helps you avoid more complex and costly procedures in the future.

How Dental Emergencies Happen in South Pasadena

Life in South Pasadena moves at a wonderful pace, whether you are enjoying the lush greenery of Garfield Park, exploring the nature trails at the Arroyo Seco Woodland and Wildlife Park, or taking a historic stroll past the iconic Rialto Theatre. However, an active day in our beautiful city can sometimes lead to the unexpected. A fall while jogging or an accident during a community event can quickly result in a broken tooth or intense tooth pain. When these moments occur, having access to local care is vital. Choosing a provider right here in town means you can get the immediate attention you need without the added stress of traveling to another city while in discomfort.

How We Can Help South Pasadena Residents Find Emergency Dental Care

Living in South Pasadena offers a unique small town charm that we truly value, as do our neighbors in Pasadena, San Marino, and Alhambra. Our community is defined by its walkable streets, beautiful historic homes, and vibrant local activities like the weekly Farmers Market or shopping along Mission Street. We know how much you enjoy being close to local hubs and unique small businesses, and we believe your dental care should be just as accessible. We are here to support you with empathy and professional care, ensuring that a dental emergency does not pull you away from the life you love. Our goal is to provide prompt relief right in your neighborhood, so you can get back to your routine quickly and comfortably.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is considered a dental emergency?

Severe toothaches, knocked-out teeth, broken or chipped teeth, lost crowns or fillings, abscesses, or swelling that affects your ability to eat, speak, or breathe.

What should I do if my tooth is knocked out?

Handle it by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it, and keep it moist in milk or saliva. Bring it to your appointment immediately.

How can I relieve a severe toothache until my appointment?

Take an over-the-counter pain reliever and apply a cold compress. Avoid placing aspirin directly on your gums.

Do you accept my dental insurance plan?

Most insurance plans are accepted. Call ahead to confirm coverage and benefits.

What are your hours for emergency appointments?

We offer same-day and extended hours for urgent needs. Contact us to be connected to the right dentist, then contact their office to check availability.

What if my dental emergency happens after hours?

Many emergency dentists offer 24/7 availability or extended hours. If your emergency occurs late at night, check whether an emergency dentist is open nearby, or go to the ER if you have severe pain, swelling, or trauma.

Can you treat a cracked or chipped tooth?

Yes, our dentists can restore or repair damaged teeth to prevent further complications.

Will I need a follow-up appointment?

Some emergencies require additional visits for permanent treatment, such as crowns or root canals.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes, our dentists prioritize same-day scheduling whenever possible.

How do I get the fastest care?

For the fastest care, call us first, and we’ll connect you with the right dentist in South Pasadena.

What happens if I lose a crown or filling?

Bring the crown or filling with you if possible. We’ll repair or replace it to restore your bite and comfort.
