Doctor Richard Shcechtman knows he’s stuff! I went for a consultation for my daughter and this is not the first place I’ve been for a consultation, this guy immediately knew what was needed to be done comparing to other places. So far I am satisfied with the staff there and especially Doctor! He showed us a video of what would be done and explained everything in detail. Good job!

I had a great experience yesterday at the office. I have not had the best experience with Dentist in the past and pleasantly surprised at the whole staff tat made me feel comfortable and listened too. From the greetings at the desk, the help from the assistants and meeting the Dentists Amber Gilbert. I was treated with respect, open ended questions were answered so I felt confident about my decisions and treatment plan. I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends.

Finally, a real genuine dental office, with real genuine people. The staff was kind and really cared about what I had to say. I had concerns and they addressed all of them with kindness and patience. I came in as a new patient today and they were able to do my consultation, a cleaning, and two cavity fillings all before the time I had to leave to get my kids from school. They take Medi-Cal and they take all ages. I had to wait sometime before being seen because there was a lot of people there but for the volume they really managed their time quite well.nHighly highly recommend.

Why You Shouldn’t Wait to Schedule an Emergency Dentist Visit

Delaying dental care can turn a small issue into a serious one. Pain is your body’s way of signaling that something is wrong, and ignoring it often leads to bigger problems, such as infection or tooth loss. Promptly treating an emergency not only protects your health but also helps you avoid more complex and costly procedures in the future.

How Dental Emergencies Happen in Studio City

Life in Studio City is a unique blend of Hollywood energy and canyon tranquility. You might be starting your morning with a brisk hike through Fryman Canyon Park, taking in the panoramic valley views, or enjoying a leisurely Sunday morning at the bustling Studio City Farmers Market on Ventura Place. While these local rituals are the heart of our community, an active lifestyle can lead to the unexpected. A slip on a trail, a sudden fall while navigating the shops along Ventura Boulevard, or a sports mishap can instantly result in a broken tooth or intense tooth pain. When a dental crisis strikes, you need immediate care right here in your neighborhood. Local care ensures you receive fast relief without the added burden of traveling to another city when you are in pain.

How We Can Help Studio City Residents Find Emergency Dental Care

For those living in Studio City and our neighbors in Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, and Toluca Lake, finding reliable emergency dental help close to home is a top priority. Our community values the convenience of the Ventura Boulevard corridor, where world-class dining, boutique shopping, and essential services are all within reach. Whether you are a professional working at the local studios or a resident enjoying the walkable side streets and vibrant cafe culture, a dental emergency should not disrupt your life more than necessary. We provide empathetic, local care that fits into your San Fernando Valley lifestyle, ensuring you get the prompt attention you need at a nearby hub so you can return to your routine quickly and comfortably.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is considered a dental emergency?

Severe toothaches, knocked-out teeth, broken or chipped teeth, lost crowns or fillings, abscesses, or swelling that affects your ability to eat, speak, or breathe.

What should I do if my tooth is knocked out?

Handle it by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it, and keep it moist in milk or saliva. Bring it to your appointment immediately.

How can I relieve a severe toothache until my appointment?

Take an over-the-counter pain reliever and apply a cold compress. Avoid placing aspirin directly on your gums.

Do you accept my dental insurance plan?

Most insurance plans are accepted. Call ahead to confirm coverage and benefits.

What are your hours for emergency appointments?

We offer same-day and extended hours for urgent needs. Contact us to be connected to the right dentist, then contact their office to check availability.

What if my dental emergency happens after hours?

Many emergency dentists offer 24/7 availability or extended hours. If your emergency occurs late at night, check whether an emergency dentist is open nearby, or go to the ER if you have severe pain, swelling, or trauma.

Can you treat a cracked or chipped tooth?

Yes, our dentists can restore or repair damaged teeth to prevent further complications.

Will I need a follow-up appointment?

Some emergencies require additional visits for permanent treatment, such as crowns or root canals.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes, our dentists prioritize same-day scheduling whenever possible.

How do I get the fastest care?

For the fastest care, call us first, and we’ll connect you with the right dentist in Studio City.

What happens if I lose a crown or filling?

Bring the crown or filling with you if possible. We’ll repair or replace it to restore your bite and comfort.
