Endura dental has been a wonderful dentist to attend. The lady at the front desk is very kind and helpful. The doctor and his assistant handled me with such great care. I have anxiety about dental work and got my wisdom teeth removed today, I am satisfied with the experience they gave me and look forward to seeing them again for my tooth implant! Thank you Endura Dental 🙏

I visited for the first time on an emergency basis for a tooth that had been knocked loose. My regular dentist was closed but they took me right in as if I had always been a patient. The recommended treatment was explained in detail including cost and insurance coverage. I was very impressed with the entire staff and would quickly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist.

I have a near paralyzing fear of the dentist, and have had for 40 years. Therefore, all my teeth eventually required extraction.nMy first appointment at Endura was a bust. They had me partly numbed, but I had to get out of there. They were very kind and understanding, and we made another appt for 2 days later.nThis time, I went adequately relaxed, and don't remember a thing. !!nThey were wonderful, I'd go back if I had teeth!

I've been going to Endura for a couple of years now, and they always do a great job. I've had some major work done and never any discomfort. Thank you to Dr. Zan and his staff!

Why You Shouldn’t Wait to Schedule an Emergency Dentist Visit

Delaying dental care can turn a small issue into a serious one. Pain is your body’s way of signaling that something is wrong, and ignoring it often leads to bigger problems, such as infection or tooth loss. Treating an emergency promptly not only protects your health but also helps you avoid more complex and costly procedures in the future.

How Dental Emergencies Happen in Tacoma

Tacoma is a city with dramatic waterfronts and thriving arts, where you can pass delightful days exploring the Museum of Glass and crossing the Bridge of Glass, walking the Prairie Line Trail through downtown art installations, or relaxing in the gardens of Point Defiance Park overlooking Puget Sound. But even in the middle of these everyday adventures—running errands, dining in Ruston Way, or enjoying a lakeside stroll—a dental emergency can strike without warning: a cracked tooth, painful swelling, or a severe abscess. Because trusted emergency dentists are available right here in Tacoma, residents don’t need to travel to Seattle or beyond for urgent care. Local practices move quickly to ease your pain so you can return to exploring waterfront views, cultural treasures, and city life.

Severe toothaches, knocked-out teeth, broken or chipped teeth, lost crowns or fillings, abscesses, or swelling that affects your ability to eat, speak, or breathe.

What should I do if my tooth is knocked out?

Handle it by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it, and keep it moist in milk or saliva. Bring it to your appointment immediately.

How can I relieve a severe toothache until my appointment?

Take over-the-counter pain relievers and use a cold compress. Avoid placing aspirin directly on your gums.

Do you accept my dental insurance plan?

Most insurance plans are accepted. Call ahead to confirm coverage and benefits.

What are your hours for emergency appointments?

We offer same-day and extended hours for urgent needs. Contact us to be connected to the right dentist, then contact their office to check availability.

What if my dental emergency happens after hours?

Many emergency dentists offer 24/7 availability or extended hours. If your emergency happens late at night, check if an emergency dentist is open nearby, or head to the ER if you have severe pain, swelling, or trauma.

Can you treat a cracked or chipped tooth?

Yes, our dentists can restore or repair damaged teeth to prevent further complications.

Will I need a follow-up appointment?

Some emergencies require additional visits for permanent treatment, such as crowns or root canals.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes, our dentists prioritize same-day scheduling whenever possible.

How do I get the fastest care?
